The Weekly Roundup

In this week’s round up our top story looks at The Independent Garage Association’s (IGA) ‘Trust My Garage’ scheme, which is set to become a government approved code specifically for the independent garage sector. Due to recent criticism surrounding the service repair Industry, the IGA believe that it is only right to stand up for all the good independent garages and the Trust My Garage badge will help consumers identify which local garages offer strong customer service and a quality repair, whilst trying to drive out the cowboys. Watch this space!

In other news the Government is planning to introduce an 80mph speed limit as early as 2014. An announcement regarding the go-ahead of the trial is set for autumn this year, and although not all motoring bodies approve on the plans to increase the speed limit, many agree that it is the best way to determine the pros and cons before making a more permanent decision.
