This week we are celebrating the 108th birthday of the Automotive Industry charity ‘BEN’. The annual celebration encourages automotive companies to get their staff involved in having fun whilst raising awareness and funds for the charity, whose aim is to help support those in the automotive industry during their time of need. With the new ‘Bear Us In Mind’ theme, fundraising expectations are running high.
In other news, plans to test driverless cars will take place later on this year as part of the Government’s £28 billion road investment and strategy scheme. These cars have been left to drive themselves using cameras, radar and laser sensors. A car has already been tested on private road but now permission has been granted by the Department for Transport for trials on roads with other traffic!
