Gott Guides: Caley Sampson

A new feature to our blog lets you get to know more about the people behind the scenes here at Gott Technical Services!


This month we introduce you to Caley Sampson, Service Administrator. Caley has worked at Gott Technical Services since she was 21 and started as a Business Support Assistant. After years of hard work and experiencing different job roles within the company she is now the Service Administrator for one of our biggest contract customers.

1.) How long have you worked at Gott Technical Services?

I first started in January 2002, and worked here for eight years before relocating to Oxfordshire.  I then moved back to the North East in September 2012, and originally came back temporarily for maternity cover, however lo and behold I’m still here!

2.) What is your position/job title there?

Service Administrator

3.) What’s the favourite thing you like about your job?

I do enjoy speaking with customers on the telephone.  I find it builds a good working relationship.

4.) Is there any particular piece of equipment/area of service that you specialise in or feel you know most about?

I wouldn’t say I specialise in any particular field, however I do think I’ve built up a fair amount of knowledge on the equipment we deal with on a day-to-day basis.

5.) What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love spending family time with my partner and our little boy.  I also enjoy walking and camping.  Anything outdoorsy!

6.) Talk us through one of your normal days at work.

There is no such thing!  That’s the beauty of working at Gott Technical, no two days are the same and every day offers a new challenge.

Always be positive.  Everything is fixable, it’s just finding a way to do it.
