To celebrate the achievements of garage practices across the country and continue to recognise exceptional service, we’ve brought the Gott's Golden Garages awards back for the second year running, and this time your nomination could grab the Grand Prix-prize!

Earlier this year, we gave the winners of our first ever awards the chance to put their foot down and enjoy some healthy competition with an exciting go-karting experience day. They sped and skidded round the track, all clamouring for the much sought after first place. Last place was charmingly accepted by Ian Gott himself, director of Gott Technical Services. We’re sure he was giving the winners their chance to shine, although he was certain the kart was at fault!

In the end victory was secured by the dream team, Gott’s own Riz Osinski and MV trainer/assessor at Gateshead College Autoskills Centre’s Dan Jude. Riz put the win down to his nifty, unbeatable skills – Dan didn’t like to mention his part-time hobby of driving and modifying race cars!

The winner of last year’s ‘Future Talent’ award Stuart Coates said: “Everyone had a fantastic time. We’ll definitely try to win an award again so we can bring along some of our students to take part as well.”

The awards categories this year include Best Technician, Best Service Manager, Apprentice of the Year, Star Student of the Year, Best Team Mascot and of course, Best Overall Garage.
