The Weekly Roundup

Local authorities issued at least eight million parking tickets to motorists last year - or one every four seconds, it has been revealed. The penalty charge notices (PCNs) raised more than £255 million in fines.

In other news, nearly half of drivers in the UK spend more disposable income on their car than anything else, according to a poll from Halfords Autocentres. Spending on cars easily outweighs the amount spent on holidays and socialising with friends, but the survey also found that 10% of drivers were cutting back on car maintenance to save money.
