COVID-19, Keeping Safe Whilst Providing a Service
Given the unprecedented COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation, we wanted to take the time to update you on the steps we are taking to keep our team safe and also continue to provide you with the service you expect.
The safety of our team, our customers and our suppliers remains our number one priority and we are continuing to closely follow the advice of Public Health England and the UK Government and have introduced extra cleaning and personal hygiene measures to help protect each other.
As a distribution and servicing company, we do need to have staff present at our depot in order to keep our supply chain moving, and we of course need our engineers on the road to provide your essential services. As far as we are concerned, it is business as usual but with actions taken to minimise the risk of infection. Should any of our staff become unwell they will follow the Government's guidelines and will self-isolate for the instructed period to protect the remaining workforce.
We are in the fortunate position of having adequate space at our premises to facilitate adequately spaced, isolated workspaces for our team members, which means they are not having to work in close proximity to each other. Everybody has been given guidance based on the Government's and NHS's guidelines in respect of how to reduce one's risk of contracting and spreading the virus. We all understand the importance of hand-washing and carry out this routine regularly. Work surfaces, communal hand-rails and door handles are cleansed regularly each day.
We expect all visitors to our premises to thoroughly wash their hands immediately upon arrival, and hope you won't be offended when we don't shake your hand. We also expect you to use your own items such as pens and notepads.
We have something to ask of our customers to help us keep our engineers safe and to make their interaction with you as safe as possible. They know they must clean their hands regularly and to help them with this we have provided hand-sanitising gel but we would rather this is used as a last resort as it is understood there is nothing more effective than washing with soap and hot water. We ask that you make suitable hand-washing facilities available to our engineers upon arrival at your premises, and on completion of their work. We also trust you will follow the Government's guidelines and ensure our staff will not come in contact with anybody that could be infected with COVID-19. Please respect their right to keep social interaction to a minimum.
As our valued customers, suppliers, and partners, we would like to encourage you to not be afraid to pick up the phone and make us aware of any procedures you need us to follow when attending your premises.
These are uncertain times and our thoughts are with those businesses that are already under pressure due to enforced closure or cancellation of business, particularly in the retail, hospitality, sports, entertainment, and travel industries, but we pledge to continue to deliver our services as long as we can do so safely and as long as Government guidelines permit.
These may be challenging, worrying, crazy times but let's work together to help support our country's economy by remaining positive and healthy.
