All about our range of services including garage equipment technical advice, garage workshop design, garage equipment planned maintenance, garage equipment breakdown repair, MOT calibration services, lift, air compressor and LEV testing and certification.
We understand that choosing the correct equipment for your needs is not always easy so we ensure that when you contact us you will have access to people who know what they are talking about. We ensure that we keep abreast of the latest product releases and legislation and spend as much time as necessary working with you to provide the right solution at the best value-for money price. Whether you are unsure about health and safety issues, MOT specifications, environmental impact, or efficient use of workshop space, we are here to help.
Technology used in modern vehicles is advancing at an alarming rate but we work closely with equipment manufacturers to help develop products that will enable you to provide as many services to your customers as possible. We don’t just sell you a product out of a leaflet, we will consult with you to find out what problems you have or what goals you are trying to achieve and then recommend the best solution for you.
An important feature of our product portfolio is our ability to project manage the provision of new vehicle workshop facilities. We can work with you to plan your new workshop layout, produce plan drawings using CAD technology, supply and install new equipment, compressed air and oil line systems, and most importantly work with your architects, other contractors, and DVSA to ensure that the creation of your new workshop runs smoothly. On receipt of an order, your project will be logged onto our system and a project manager assigned who will attend site meetings and provide on-going technical advice. This service is available for new builds of complete workshops, development of an MOT bay, or extension of an existing workshop. If like many people these days you want to upgrade your conventional MOT bay to a One Person Test Lane (OPTL) or full Automated Test Lane (ATL) then we can help you. We can visit you to discuss your requirements and measure your property to determine suitability for an MOT facility. Then we will draw up your proposed bay to show you how your bay might look. When you order your new MOT equipment from us we will provide full layout drawings for submission to DVSA, along with civil works drawings for your builder. Alternatively we can handle the building and electrical works for you if you wish.
We can help you with your application to DVSA and be present during your approval meetings. Our goal is to ensure that the installation of your new MOT bay runs smoothly.
Our installation services include :-

We help take the stress out of a project and our customers regularly praise us for completing installations to a high standard, on time and within budget.
We specialise in providing maintenance services to suit a wide range of equipment. Reliance on workshop equipment to generate revenue, and increased health & safety legislation mean that more and more managers are realising the benefits of planned preventative maintenance packages. Our service plan packages are designed to suite new and old equipment alike. Many people who have their equipment maintained often have up to six different companies servicing their equipment at a high cost and inconvenience. Our goal is to cover all of your equipment with one convenient, cost-effective package.
At Gott Technical Services we train our engineers to carry out a prescribed list of extensive checks on equipment. We believe in being thorough with this for health and safety reasons and to ensure, as far as possible, that future breakdowns on your equipment are kept to a minimum, thereby providing peace of mind. We always endeavour to offer the lowest prices possible but we will not compromise on service quality. It is our desire to provide a quality, value for money service to the highest level that will ensure customer confidence.

Even if you do not have a service plan with us you can take advantage of our prompt breakdown repair service. Our team of experienced engineers are always on hand to respond to your calls and we have access to an extensive supply of spare parts for a large range of equipment, of all ages. Also, if you require equipment decommissioning or relocating we can handle this for you.
We know how important the upkeep of a busy MOT bay is. It is for this reason that we treat the provision of calibration contracts for MOT bays with such priority. When you commit to one of our calibration contracts we create a unique database record on our computerised management system and then we keep track of when your next visit is due. We contact you near to the due date and mutually agree a calibration appointment. Ensuring that we are accredited with SIRA means that we can calibrate and repair certain emissions equipment, along with most popular brake testers and headlamp testers. We can also organise tooling calibrations to help you comply with ISO or dealer standards.
All of our engineers are equipped with smart phones and are in regular contact with our service controllers who manage your contract using our computerised management system. Using this system we are able to keep you informed of expected arrival times, duration of jobs etc.
Vehicle lifts are almost essential in a modern workshop but it is important that they are inspected and maintained regularly to ensure that they comply with PUWER and LOLER regulations. We ensure that our engineers are expertly trained to inspect lift ropes and lifting screws and nuts and provide health & safety reports for complete peace of mind. Our engineers are accredited with the Garage Equipment Association (GEA) Lift Engineer Accreditation Scheme so they are able to demonstrate their competency. We are also able to complete repairs following insurance inspection visits.
In order to help you comply with COSHH regulations we can carry out inspections of your Local Exhaust Ventilation system or dust extraction system and issue the necessary certificates. We can also inspect your compressed airline system and produce a Written Scheme of Examination to comply with The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000.
