A safety alert has been raised by the European Commission on an unsafe vehicle lift being marketed. 

This was identified as branded Longus, but may also appear under other brands in some markets. 

The lift model number is LHB-2 45.P

We are advised the product is sold online in particular via Ebay and it's country of origin is The Peoples Republic of China. The issue with the lift is it's mechanical strength and safety devices are insufficient, risking excessive stress under heavy or uneven loads. This could cause the vehicle to fall, leading to injuries. Furthermore the product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive nor with the European standard EN 1493.
